Accessibility

Actually, it has to be called “almost accessible” due to the fact that our website, as well, is not completely accessible. In order to have an accessible site it takes more than just a correctly programmed XHTML- and CSS- file or a strict separation of content and formatting.

We set great value upon an optimum of our site as accessible as possible, without interfering the creation process of this layout. Although we put a lot of time in a correct programming, we prefer to call us “almost accessible”.

Accessibility seems to become more and more important in the internet. Keywords like usability etc. gain more and more in importance. For most people with a handicap and who are well acquainted with the internet, this is the number one communication form. Therefore, it is even more important to give those people the chance to use the internet without any further support. That is what German government realised as well and therefore has set an example with the passing of the “Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz”.
